Before your arrival, we thought you, your friends and family might find it interesting to read a little about La Sylviane and her passage through history from the 17th century to where we are now.

You'll also see the lay of Sylviane's land and the accomodation possibilities, find instructions as to how things work in the different houses and be introduced to the resident staff.

We have extensive vegetable gardens so please feel free to ask the gardener what's ready to eat and help yourselves.  There's also something to learn about our olive trees and olive oil production.

A guide to Valbonne is included along with some ideas of where to eat, where to go, who to call and what to do when the sun's gone in.

There's loads of detail on this site but if there's anything else you need to know, don't hesitate to email us on

We wish you all a relaxing and enjoyable stay at La Sylviane.
